the way to go if you can. Best value out there. Except for the wheels, do you need any other upgrades? It would be cheaper in the long run. Personally, I would get the upgrade bug with the 105, gossamer, rs10 on the 10-5. I understand not being able to swing the extra $ though. I've got a Synapse 5 in the garage now.

But I already upgraded the cranks to Red's for $200 and am looking at a way to get Rival or Force derailleurs and shifters
Just dump the RS10's someday and you will have a mid 16lb, rides like a CAAD, shifts like Sram bike.
