I am guessing it has to do with the push and pull of the chain. I always trackstand but I hardly use my legs to slow down. time for some loctite

While on the topic; Origin 8 chain ring bolts suck. They break so freaking easily
Use Loctite and stainless steel sugino bolts. Install in star pattern.
