whoa nelly! where did that come from? i didnt ask you to listen nor does any evidence or discussion of economic or social implications of resource depletion fall into the catagory of "end of the world" type stuff. thats reactionary and takes the argument into an unrealistic context. i was just trying to put some info out there. what else am i going to do? i'll keep trying to decrease my ecological footprint while working to get locally grown food and resources more available. at the same time i activaly oppose the capitalist economic system and would like to see more counter institutions and co-ops form. thanks for taking the time to read through though. at most, peak oil could cause a recession or even depression like conditions in this country. if we can change our ways starting now then maybe we can avert some of that. but if our yuppie consumer lifestyle continues we could be in trouble.
