Wind is pretty huge. I was crawling along Saturday morning on a ride for the first couple miles going almsot right into the wind. It was cold too. =P Wind can really slow me down on my commute even though its pretty short so it doesn't matter mroe than a couple minutes.

I am considering creating a 26" wheel faux LHT of my own as a project, but I haven't decided if I have the right frame in my stash to do it plus other considerations.
