Bikes: Schwinn single speed (varsity?), Schwinn Moab 2, and now an old Pugeot which I hope to turn into a SS very soon

single speed needs new wheels, 27 though, disc?

So i have a Pugeot as some have seen, and it eneds new wheels. I am doing a single speed conversion on the cheap, so ive been looking at deals on velomine and bikeisland for sets around $100 to $150

was planning on a non machined rear, and a machined front with front brake.

then i noticed I need 27" wheels. there goes the cheap wheelsets...

so, I am thinking of riding it fixie with a flip flop hub for a while on the 26" wheels I found, then later this summer converting the front fork to a disc fork and going that route. Not cheaper than 27" wheelsets right away, but, a solution none the less.

thought comments opinions jokes? FYI, its a beer run bar bike, that might make it to a couple rockies games this summer.

Thanks

Jim
