Incidental Nishiki in garage

I was editing the photo package for a short back-page story about a company that does wood-grain faux finishing on steel garage doors when this photo jumped out at me. (I work for a magazine for residential builders.) It's a little hard to tell, but it seems to be a Nishiki--the fade paint job dates it from what, the late 80s? Does anyone recognize the specific bike?
Painting garage doors is probably a good gig for finding nice old bikes. Unfortunately, this one wouldn't fit me and is about 3,000 miles from my house.
Bikes probably look better when photographed in in front of a wood-grained door than a white one, too.
