There will eventually be a generation of people to whom the 1995 Honda Accord represents "the good old days" before Technology X or Legal Requirement Y "ruined" cars. Hell, I love Hondas from the late 80s because they're dead simple and very reliable cars. If I had the time, money, and skill to restore a car, a Volvo 240 would be on the short list.

Sure, it's hard to imagine people drooling over an antique Cannondale CAAD9, Trek Madone, Specialized Synapse, or what have you, but I bet it'll happen eventually.
