I'd tell them to honor it and get some money from you or don't honor it and get zero money. I don't like seeing customers walk out the door angry and with no product and neither does your shop. If they do honor this deal just make sure you become a loyal customer.
I've been a loyal customer, and I'd like to remain that way. That said, I'm becoming more comfortable with the idea of taking my business elsewhere and leaving them holding a >$3k bike they'd rather not stock... even if it means paying a little more for the same bike.
