Thanks - Tokyo got off lightly and we're fine. Parts of northern Japan are in awful shape though. Really, if you're contemplating a relocation this is a factor to consider.

Cycling related: Quake hit while I was at work. Buildings evacuated so I got on my bike and rode home. Traffic signals were down but road traffic was very light and everybody was calm. Most train lines were not running, buses jam packed, taxis hard to find, so many people were unable to get home. No electricity at home for eight hours. Took my Nashbar mini-light off the handlebar and used it in the house. (I'm usually in the generator camp but have to admit that the battery light showed its worth this time :-)
