I've been car free in Chicago since summer 2010. It wasn't really a conscious decision, but one out of necessity. My car died and since it wasn't something I could afford to replace and not something I really needed the bicycle was the solution.

It only comes time when my band plays a gig that I miss owning one. I get kind of sad always leaving my favorite guitar at the practice space.

I'll probably end up getting a nice backpack case for my guitar but thinking of the bigger picture... maybe getting a trailer to haul all my gear.

Our drummer has done it before! And by god if he can do it so can I! Anyone have any experience/advice lugging gear around?
