They are great wheels i'm sure. It's just that carbon wheels have the reputation of not withstanding overheating that well. My local LBS says they have warrantied a lot of their assault and attacks because some people simply descend while on the breaks the whole time. Certainly, I would not do that often, but there are a couple of hills where i could see me having to slow down for long enough to heat rims and perhaps cause overheating.
Any other C5 users that can vouch for their breaking performance?
