When I was 15, I got a summer job as a part time mechanic at the LBS. The owner was a nice guy. 38 years old. Used to do training rides with him and his younger brother. He helped get me into racing. 25 years later, I went back to visit my hometown and stopped by the shop. Lo and behold, he was still there! Still mentoring teenage cyclists to get into racing. Still carrying the same brand of bikes. He says the town hadn't changed much over the years, but except for his shop, it looked quite different to me.
