Throwing them on either system is not a guarantee of top return. You really need to develop and implement a marketing plan, with awesome full size pictures, a professional ad, etc. Also, have you sold much on ebay? Do you have spotless feedback, preferably with successful sales (and shipments) of bicycles? And are you willing/able/and ready to ship at a reasonable cost (no I'll drop it off at the bike shop of your choice, you handle the details)? ebay has the "potential" to net quite a bit more, your abilities to market it and a little luck will determine the results.
Of course, there is no cost to posting on C/L, but odds of getting top dollar are very low.
I sell on ebay every week, and one of my continuing irritations is the variance on completed prices. And I regularly buy items on ebay where the seller has made a variety of mistakes along the lines of my comments above.
