Meh. This should be interesting just to see what people think. I understand people wanting to test ride bikes. Personally I hardly ever buy anything that is actually built or sold in the final configuration that I am wanting/looking for so I hardly ever have an opportunity to test ride them.
When I have had the opportunity I have done it, but just in the parking lot and only for a few minutes. Never in full gear or with my pedals, etc. Sure I can feel some subtle differences but .....I would question my own ability to determine the long term prognosis on a new rig during a test ride. I just don't need one. I know what geometries will work for me and usually even have the right stem ordered before a new frame shows up.
...then again I also realize it's not about the bike....
