Ride all the bikes you are considering.
The Trek is the best "value" there.
Actually, that particular Trek is an EXCELLENT value.
But, money should be a consideration, not a "reason" to buy a bike.
In short, the Trek will give you a more relaxed, but lively ride.
The CAAD8 will be just a little more aggressive.
Going by your particular needs, I'd be all over that Trek "if" you prefer the ride better.
I had the Trek you're considering. Great bike.
