We need to remember that there is an outside audience here, and it is wise every once in a while to make the proper distinctions in terminology. It is easy to confuse the vehicular cycling techniqueseveryone here uses with the vehicular cycling ideology that not everybody shares. Nobody disputes that proper lane positioning at intersections, claiming space, merging with cars, cycling big, etc. are good techniques for riding in traffic. What is being debated is the "anti-bike lane" ideology many politically oriented vehicular cyclists hold. This point gets lost at times with the "us vs. them" arguments we have here.
