I can't help but think that we are all fairly intelligent, reasonably respectful people here and wouldn't do something stupid like set up camp right on someone's doorstep without permission. We wouldn't head over to their flower bed to take a dump. We just wouldn't do those things.
Sadly that is not true for all cyclist, backpackers and especially homeless campers. I have seen human waste right in the middle of a bike path.
But for those of us who are respectful, we are generally welcomed or at least left alone.
