When I switched my life style from car to bike, my parents were worried and kind of hassled me when we would talk over the phone.

The last time they said it to me kind of went like this:
"Okay, thank you for calling! Remember to wear your helmet and look out for cars!" -Mom
"Okay, Thanks for picking up! remember to wear your seat belt and look out for bicyclists!" -Me
