The componets your bike has are Shimano Atlus, as Shimano describe them they are 'ALTUS is a 7/8-speed MTB-style component group for city sport and youth bikes. In addition to an excellent cost performance, ALTUS provides a feeling of "easy control" that inspires confidence, especially among novice cyclists and younger riders.'

In other words, they ain't mountain bike parts, you said that it has disc and Full suspension, if it has Atlus as the drive train, then the whole bike will be pretty budget, great for riding round parks, but will not work will if you take it off road, guessing it's pretty heavy as well.

Would suggest if you can't return it, take it as a learning experiance, in knowing what you are buying, what you will get, and how to fix what you get if it isn't what you expected.

for the shifting, doesn't make any diffference if the parts are high or low end for how they shift, does though for the feel, if a high end shifters are badly set up, they will shift badly, if a low end shifters are setup well, they will shift well, they will just weight more, and the shifting will not be as crisp as the high end setup
