to be brutally honest it all comes down to energy in (food) vs energy out (exercise)

If you want to weigh less you either have to increase your daily exercise output or reduce your calories . or a bit of both.

I have yo-yo'd in weight for 25 years ever since switching from a manual job to a desk job and giving up smoking. Every time the weight goes back on it increases a bit more ?

There is no point in setting an unrealistic lifestyle or you'll resent both the extra exercise and not being able to eat some of the things you like from time to time.

better to be fit and healthy from regular moderate enjoyable exercise and eat reasonable portions of good quality unprocessed food and be happy than forever chase unrealistic weight loss imo
