Union City, GA Circuit Race: CAT 5 (30 minutes of Racing, 24 in the field)
Stayed near the front from the beginning. Somewhere before the end, we dropped 8 racers. The only break to speak off occured when some dude went for a T-shirt prime around lap 4 or 5, he was reeled in quickly after winning the prime uncontested. No other successful breaks.

Was sitting at about 10th wheel going into the bell lap and felt this was too far back (1 mile laps, on retrospect I probably should have kept that position), so I moved up at the beginning of the back-stretch to 3rd wheel from front (woops a little too far forward), then leading rider dropped off, that put me at 2nd wheel with about 2/3rds of lap to go. Then guy in front of me sits up and takes a drink of water and the whole front pack flies by us, now with 1/2 lap to go I'm sitting in 16th position, I grab the last wheel as it goes by and try to move up, but only advanced 6 or 8 positions coming into the final turn with a little riser and realize that the best I could do is sprint for ~10th place, so I sit up and roll across in 16th position.

Union City, GA Road Race: CAT 5 (40 miles, started with juniors and women as well, not sure exactly how many in starting field, but would guess 50+)
Tailgunned it for first 20 miles of this race as there was a lot of twitchiness. No break attempts got more than 10 or so seconds before pack reeled them in. Couple of teams controlled the race for the most part and were looking for the sprint. Front pack widdled down to about 35, I moved up to front 10 for second 20 miles up until about 2 miles to go. My sprint isn't strong enough to put me in top 5 with a field that large, so I slid to the back and came in with the pack. Note: I made one break attempt when 2 guys attacked at around mile 24, I jumped on the 2nd guy's wheel, but the pack hammered to shut it down quickly.

Didn't do much in either race this weekend, but first races of season, so good experience.
