Be careful with conversions.

Some bikes are good candidates for conversion, some aren't some of the links and info in the start here section should help.

I am kind of in the minority in that I really like conversions. They're unique, and if you have a lot of the tools/parts, it's pretty cheap, and who cares if you tore apart a bike that was already functioning fine, as long as you ride it... go for it.
