Rules just says "your bike" and thats one of my bikes but only 13 years old (
98). The fork is 6 months old, the rest of the parts a 10 years old.
The Challange was "
Hard: Your bicycle with someone in full riding gear (spandex, jersey, helmet, etc.) on a new(er) high end bike riding by in the background."
Here are the rules: edited from the SS&FG thread
1) No photoshop! Post processing, cropping, resizing, etc. in photoshop is ok; changing content to fulfill a challenge, NOT OK!
2) If a challenge is not met after 1 week a new topic may be picked by the previous challenger winner.
3) If a picture is in dispute, it needs 3 yes votes to be accepted.
4) After any comment, please put the current challenge at the bottom so everyone can stay up to date.
5) Pictures must be taken AFTER the challenge. Rare exceptions such as pictures taken on the said day BEFORE the challenge may be accepted only by 3 acceptance votes.
6) The following types of challenges are NOT allowed:
-action shots (any picture where the bike is in motion, let's try not to kill or injure ourselves)
-duplicate challenges
-illegal challenges
7) If a picture has been posted but a new challenge has not been picked, the current challenge is still active until (a)new challenge has been picked or (b) another rider posts another picture satisfying the challenge and picks a new challenge.
8) We'll have a 3 tier challenge system that follows:
-Easy Challenge: something that anyone with a bike and a camera can do
-Moderate Challenge: something that might take a good deal of looking around and traveling around town, or can only be done on a special day etc.
-Difficult Challenge: not just anyone can do this. It might be specific to a certain group, region, past time, etc.
Here is why:
The intention of this game is to get out there, bike, have fun and show off your rides.
It is implied C&V but not stated in the rules and my bike is not new its pieced together at a cost of approx $350. While I would have loved to have rode one of my older steeds, none were currently in shape for this event.
I guess we need a judgment call.
Edit: Dyslexia got the best of me and I put 89 when it is a 98.
