My vote is for the walds...... between them and strapping stuff on top you can carry a good sized load, enough to make the bike handling and balance a lot different. I have only had the bot open up once, and that was because there was no load in them. I like the size becaue they fit two large grocery bags (reusable of course ) nicely. not much wind resistance empty and easy to fold up if you want to. My view of utility is not large loads, but more like everyday use and errands, which oftem means smaller loads.
