Actually "Satin" Chrome. Kind of like on Starrett combination squares. I've used the gold version of this with some pleasing results. I am thinking of using the chrome for an upcoming project. It may be an interesting finish.
That is correct. In the golf club industry at least the dull finish is referred to as "satin ."
