To give you an idea, the b43s are somewhere around 780gams per rim, combined that's more than a kilo and a half of rim. On the other hand an open pro is 425 grams, or 850 per pair. Like everybody else said, no matter what tires you prefer, OPs will be an acceleration revelation.

They're fairly durable too, mine wore 23c tires for about a year of hard city riding. No complaints, maybe get open sports or Velocity razors if you want a little extra beef. That is, assuming you even want a road rim.
