I found the Specialized BG in regular sizing to be pretty comfortable too. Main reason I went with the Lake CX170 was the massive discount at Nashbar. They're sold out of the 47 Wide, but do have some of the smaller sizes. At the price they're at it's probably worth the gamble. If they don't fit, throw them up on the bay and you'll probably get your cost back, or at least close to it.
