I can't figure it out either. It seems like people are totally defined by the tangible things they own, and cars seem to be right up there on the list. I don't have anything against someone owning a car, but over the years, they get bigger, less efficient, and do more harm to the environment than ever. And then they go out and have kids, knowing full well how messed up this planet is going to be by the time their kids grow up.

I'm not going to say I'll never own a car, but if I do, it'll be one of the smallest subcompact cars I can find that are electric and just gets me around town.
