Bose makes a great PA system that is small. It is a skinny tower that can be disassembled into parts. The power amp is integrated into the design. Depending on the model there will be a separate small bass cabinet. No monitors are needed with this system. That saves weight and space too.

If you don't feel the need for a personal amplifier you could use a preamp to go directly into the tower. If you want to play louder, each member of the band could have their own tower. They cost $999 each for the basic model.

If each musician used a lavaliere or headset microphone there would be no need for hauling mic stands. No mixers are needed with this system because the more expensive model comes with its own sound controller with built in effects.

If I were still a musician I'd get one.
