When I lived in Dublin we used to go to Luggola (sp?) the Guiness estate, and climb the fantastic cliff there. You can see their point... But the access to footpaths was won in at least the UK, so you have that precedent. Doesn't sound like that would be a good fit to a sue everyone culture.

The whole i hunt my property thing is probably not a big deal in most cases, particularly since a lot of stealth camping involves slipping in around dusk, and taking up positions that are not readily penetrable. One is looking for those areas that are not going to be the obvious contours. Where we live, to some extent, if you don't post it you are offering an invitation, but I don't think that extends to over-nighting.

Generally when I stealth camp I am looking for land that is either government land, or parts of private property that it is unlikely the land owner has ever stepped on. Take a normal sub-urban neighbourhood, and look for the kind of places a deer could sleep on. You can be talking about tent sized block of property between houses and a school, ravines overlooking golf courses, HWY sidings, HWYs often have huge allowances that are increasingly never cut.
