The lady on the bike was doing just that - commuting totally by bike. The gentleman on the Brompton was a multi-modal commuter, made easy by the Brompton's small size.
To me it was funny - I spent 25 yrs commuting in L.A. traffic. The right half of my Ford Fiesta's dashboard was flat enabling me to eat breakfast as I sat in traffic. Hey, don't laugh, I saw folks brushing their teeth, shaving, even reading books and putting on make-up. We know about folders - the video appears to be aimed at those that don't - assuming it wasn't just made as a joke.
