That's what we do when we're on Randonnees. If we need to catch a nap, we sleep in the ditch.
You and I are from western Canada. And its not unusual to have large distances between farms, houses ect when stopping for the night. On the prairies, with so much space and lack of cover, we could have hardly called it "stealth" camping!
