The stem is angled up. It's a 17 deg. stem so that might have something to do with it. The painted letters on the handle bars is right side up, but I'll try fliping them over to see if that helps. I think it will put the grip part too low though. I picked up some different grips that are similar to the ergon's but don't have the lock ring, and I got another roll of tape so I'll see if I can move the levers and shifters out a little.
