No offense takin, yes I always pedal when shifting and I have on occasions let up but for the most part I keep a steady spinning pace and only shift if my legs start to burn or dealing with a hill. I think it had just worked it self out of adjustment as playing with the rear cable knobby thing it seems to be much better.
