Brogi, I'm in the same boat as you. 6'4" 245lb weightlifter looking for some endurance training that I don't hate. Bought a Caad 10 this weekend but haven't picked it up, yet. Now, I'm a 10 min internet expert (so take this for what it's worth), but I researched this extensively and here's what I went with: 32/36 f/r, Deep V's, rear wheel 4-laced, Ultegra hubs, DT Comp 14/15s, brass nips. http://www.prowheelbuilder.com/ for less than $500. They will NOT be light but from everything I've read should be very durable, if not overkill. My LBS approved the setup. Mavic CXP33's will work and be a little bit lighter...and more expensive. Hopefully, this will save you some research time. Elders, I'm new, so feel free to fire away if I'm leading him astray.
