we have two wednesday night training rides in town: a very competitive but primarily 3/4 ride and a soul crusher where the local paycheck racers come out to hunt when theyre in town.
as a strong but new 3, i find theres really nothing healthier in the world that bounching back and forth between them, attacking, bridging, riding breaks off my wheel, etc on the B ride, and hanging on for dear life, praying for the finish on the A ride. in racing as in life, balancing a sense of accomplishent and selfworth with a humility about how much more is out there to learn and experience is a pretty important balance to strike.
