Bikes: schwinn voyageur

Old goat from PA

I started riding again several years ago when my daughters needed to learn to ride bikes. I bought a new hybrid bike as I thought I was too old to ride my old Voyageur. About a year ago I blew the dust off my mid-80's Voyageur and really started to enjoy the old bike again. I did some touring in my late 20's which is how I ended up with a bike that I saved from the scrap heap. A friend had bent the frame in an accident with a car. I bought the frame, had a shop work on it and just loaded it up with components (handlebars, wheels, seat) I had from another bike. I did have a new rear wheel built with a phil wood hub and I added a biopace crankset. Most everything on the bike is 25- 30 years old, including the cateye computer that still works fine.
