I actually read an article on line (don't remember where). But they suggested pointing the tip of the saddle one or two degrees off center. It helps protect soft tissue, as well as adds to riding comfort. I am a little too OCD to do it myself though.
But what I did do was try to ride just just off center on the saddle. It really did help. Normally have to move around a bit to get "stuff" comfortable.
I think the article you are talking about is on Cobb Cycling site. Their theory is by pointing the saddle at 5 degrees you end up in a flatter riding position.
