I would like to build up a xxl (23") 29er bike that would be great for bikepacking and great for snow too! I am a bicycle mechanic at a local shop in anchorage and the manager wants me to buy the spec 29er comp 23" which I think is a ****ty build, I just want something that is going to hold up my 6'6" 275 pound frame while hauling 20 pounds worth of bike camping gear. What do you think because I am pretty stumped by this and what to build. Please get back to me or I am going to get some welding classes to build my own frame.
