I have a wireless computer on our tandem for me, the captain, but want to set up something for my wife. We currently use an old Garmin eTrex, which is bulky and battery-hungry. It seems like her handlebars are too far from the wheel to pick up a wireless signal, and I'm not wild about a hard wired one but I've considered that route. I'm reluctant to spend the $$ on a Garmin cyclocomputer, I'm wondering what other folks do.
