The PT wheel really isn't such a bad deal. It adds a little weight but, its a stable and relatively accurate system, and it can be put on different bikes with ease. SRM is the same for all practical purposes, though its not easy to transfer from one bike to another, and far more cost. Likewise with Quark. If someone is in the market for a Power Meter, I would say the PT wheel is a good economical option until a newer proven system is available. You might see a diesel Forester first.
