I agree. I have a power profile similar to kvangundy and I've seen some success on the track, both sprint and enduro. The best thing I did last year was spend all winter riding my rollers at the split between Z2 and Z3. It helped everything. It made my sprint longer, it made my ftp higher, and it let me stay in road races past the 2 hour mark; and even for the track, it's pretty nice having those extra aerobic reserves. It's loads of help in the mass start racing, and it makes that third match sprint round a fair bit easier.
