Most of which are out in the parking lot and would interfere with cars and the columns are too large to attach a lock to - even a cable lock. Couldn't agree more, they would also be well lit and have active, armed security. On the other hand, if there were racks like this:

everywhere I'd never bring my bike inside again.

In truth though I usually ride with someone else when running errands and I send them in while I stay with the bikes
