Can anyone point me to where I can purchase a canti stud with the 3 hole mount feature? An alternative would be a set of canti brakes that don't require the feature. My concern is they would cost the same as a replacement fork - blowing my budget away.

I have done an Ebay and Google search and only turn up more posts like the one I removed.
This question kinda intrigued me at the time because I usually take those posts OFF and install cable guides for disk brakes instead. And the units I was taking off didn`t have any compatability issues - but all the brake posts weren`t all the same size and shape either.

So called a few places to see what the story was and looks like this is another example of where if money can`t buy you happiness - you may still have a few expensive options.

Apparently there are adapter kits available for forks from reputable manufacturers that include a mounting stud and sleeve with pin-locking plate. They`re not all the same for all forks even from the same manufacturer and if you bought a cheap Chinese knock-off they may not have thought far enough ahead to carry those parts themselves.

So you`ll have to come up with a post-thread diameter and do some hunting. Unfortunately any `solution` you come up with isn`t going to be in line with your low end brakes or inexpensive fork. The Marizocchi boss kit I was given as an example retails here in Canada for $40 for two bosses and two pin-lock sleeves/plates. Brake mounting bolts not included.
