Bikes: 1973 Schwinn Collegiate, 1983 Fuji Royale II Mixte

I haven't been back in the saddle much since my accident, which is healing very well by the way! Thanks for the concern and well wishes!
But yeah. Other then errand running on my Schwinn I haven't been on a bike much. Plus I'm leery of taking the Fuji on a longer ride.
It's intimidating how light she is after getting so used to my loaded Schwinn beast. However I don't think it's the frame that makes me nervous but those damn bars. They feel to narrow and I feel very unstable about letting go to change gears. I hate the brake placement. Those levers are a huge issue for me after struggling to adequately reach them during my fall. I'm sure if I had better conditions to practice riding I'd get used to them but for now, I'm glad I was already planning to replace the bars. I'd love to learn drop bars one day but maybe now just isn't my time.
That being said tomorrow I take a daring stab at fitting VO fenders! Oh god I hear it's a nightmare! Meh. I'll probably masochistically enjoy it. Photos will happen, of course.

But since I've been rambling about bars, I'm trying to decide between Soma Mustache II or VO Porteurs. Reverse brake levers are the plans for both.

Thoughts?
