I finally drank the kool-aid and bought some GP4000s tires. I'm anxious to ride them, but the roads here still have a lot of crap on them from winter including lots of little rocks and broken glass. I found two broken beer bottle piles yesterday and somehow managed to avoid a flat but I also have some moderately robust tires on atm.

Do you ride your nice tires on roads like this or wait for the street sweepers to clean up winter's mess? How robust do you find the GP4000s?
