If people would stop drinking the Kool Aid, they'd stop trying to to take away money from others and start asking why they aren't getting raises and benefits that were standard across the board a few decades ago. Corporate profits and consolidation of wealth, CEO and upper management compensation have all soared in the same time while real wages here have stagnated or dropped, as have benefits, and the actual value of most people's retirement portfolios.
So we're going to ask the firemen to take a pay cut and start paying for more of their health insurance and that's going to fix everything while we shovel money at drunken gamblers who are too big to fail who then turn around and lend that money back to us at a higher interest rate.

I have a couple friends that work at a struggling little company named GE, and they had to scratch & claw to barely make $14 Billion in profits last year. Lucky for them that GE didn't owe any federal taxes, or I'm sure they would have gone belly-up.. Those damned fireman and policemen sitting around risking their lives, while raking in thousands of dollars a year are causing all the problems.
