I am currently rebuilding a Peugeot Mixtie and I'm waiting for the Soma Mustache bars to arrive any day now. I struggled with which handle bars to get. Originally I was going to put the VO Porteurs, than I decided the Belleville bars would give me more hand positions. Ultimately I decided to go with the mustache bars because the stem I put on only had 60mm of reach and I was afraid the Bellevilles would bang into my knees.

I am going with barcons and brake levers from drop bars which is what is usually used on mustache bars. If you go to Lovely Bicycle you will see both the Porteur and the Belleville on mixtie frames as well as North road bars, all of which are more traditional choices for a mixtie frame. Surfing through the mixtie group in Flicker I only saw a couple with mustache bars. I'll let you know what I think of the mustache bars once I get them, although I won't be able to ride the bike until it is painted. The cranks require a special puller which I don't have so I had the LBS take them off, thats why they're not going back on until the bike is painted. I'm just kinda of doing a dry fit to see how it all comes together before paint, sort like they do on Orange County Chopper.
