OCD or Determined?

I finished my second century of the year this past Saturday and while the ride was advertised to be 101 miles long, it was actually 97.5 miles. I felt somewhat cheated so I rode around the parking lot for 2 and a half miles. Most people were fine with the 97.5 miles but not me. I wanted to see trip digits on the odometer. My friends thinks I have a small case of OCD but I call it determination especially after a ton of climbing on the ride.

Have you ever done this?

BTW - I participated in the Wheels of Fire Century in Pine Mountain, GA. It was near Calloway Gardens. Each rest stop is sponsored by a local fire station (hence the name) and they compete to be the best rest stop voted on by the riders. One rest stop had chicken wings and another had hot dogs. It was a blast! The firefighters even blocked traffic for us.

Here are the stats from the ride: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/76756643
