My cousin brought me an older Trek 2100 carbon/lugged aluminum. It's been sitting for a long time and I told him I would help him get it cleaned up and operational.

Here is what I can tell you:

The frame is blue with a gold (yellow?) fork and a yellow band on the seat tube. The seatstays and chainstays are also blue.
It has Shimano RSX STI shifters
It has a 105 RD.
7 speed rear, double crank...

Just trying to figure out what year this thing is... I took the serial number off of it and tried to match it up on vintage-trek.com but nothing seemed to correspond with the numbers there. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong

Any help is appreciated. This is kind of a cool old bike, we aren't going to get crazy with it but new cables & chain, a new front wheel, tires, and some general clean-up.
If pics are needed to help out, I can get some tomorrow. Google Image was of little help. The only matching pics made no indication of what year the bike is.
